What's Wrong With Me?

Have you ever gone to the doctor, taken tests only to find out that everything is "normal?"  Then why do we feel so lousy?  I think this a question that many of us ask.
I believe Dr. Eric Braverman of Path Medical in New York City is on to something.  His motto is:  “You are only as young as your oldest part.”
He says that "Identifying your body’s aging parts is the key to slowing the aging process and getting you back on the road to good health. We know that as you age, deficiencies in your hormones, vitamins and neurotransmitters such as Dopamine and Serotonin can affect your brain and body functions negatively. These deficiencies can lead to weight gain, loss of energy, decrease in sexual function, fatigue, osteoporosis, sleep loss, memory loss and a host of other symptoms that are signs of aging and can lead to illness. Minor and moderate deficits can be treated without medications and usually respond to a combination of natural / nutritional, hormonal and lifestyle changes."
On Dr. Braverman's website, he has health quizzes that ask great questions.  What I like most however, is that once you complete it, you will have a better understanding of what you might be deficient in.  Not all of us can go to New York City to see Dr. Braverman, but maybe we can take these quick quizzes and understand where we might go from here.
For instance, if you have heart issues such as these: Valve disease, hypertension, coronary artery disease, weak heart muscle/cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias; he then gives you some natural alternatives for treatment.

I think his site and quizzes are great resources for those of us who do not know where to begin.

Dr. Braverman has also wrote a number of books, one of which is called, Younger (Thinner) You Diet.  He says the the latest research in nutrition and weight loss has discovered that the BRAIN is actually the most important organ to combating weight loss. According to Braverman, the key to weight loss is in combining good diet, nutrients AND BALANCED HORMONES.  What a concept!
